My Top 3 Priorities

  • Create jobs by reducing operating cost and fees of small businesses, lower taxes, and provide a $5,000 tax credit for every employee hired, with Public Works Projects, which will create jobs with the "Small Business & Employment Act."
  • End illegal immigration with the "Anna Roes Immigration Reform Act" that will secure our borders, with a program for undocumented immigrants to become a Provisional Citizen, passing a background check, with a pathway to citizenship within five years.

Questions & Answers

Questions from The League of Women Voters of California Education Fund and California Counts, a public media collaboration. (4)

Should immigration laws be changed?  What changes would you support?  Please explain why.
Answer from Sal Genovese:

Immigration laws need to be changed.  My plan the "Anna Rose Immigration Reform Act" will end illegal immigration, by securing our borders; establishing a program for undocumented immigrants to have an opportunity to become a Provisional Citizen, by passing a criminal background check; with a pathway to citizenship within five years.

The political climate in Washington, D.C. has been extremely partisan in recent years. In that kind of atmosphere, what would you do to get things done while in office?
Answer from Sal Genovese:

I plan to represent the people of my district, for the House of Respresentative has become the "House of Wall Street," the "House of Special Interest," the House of Lobbyist."  Everyone in my district will have their voices heard, as part of my Community Awareness Program (CAP), were we will meet to discuss the concerns of those that I will be representing, as well as their voices will be heard throughout the Halls of Congress.

What, if anything, does the U.S. need to do in order to address national security and terrorism? Please explain your answer in detail.
Answer from Sal Genovese:

We as a Nation need to work with other Nations that up-hold freedom, to form a coalition that will provide security, to prevent terrorism, and to be sure that peace will prevail over those who seek to destroy peace.

The Federal Government plays a part in California water allocation and use through a variety of laws.  What, if any, legislation would you support in an effort to handle water shortages caused by the current and any future drought?
Answer from Sal Genovese:

I would introduce legisiation that would fund the building of structures in California, to capture all rain runoff, for millions of gallons of rain water flows out into the ocean, which could be saved for our current drought, and future drought.

Political Beliefs
