Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters (3)

What would you do to increase the number of registered voters?
Answer from Shaian Mohammadi:

As a community organizer for various campaigns in the past, I have focused on voter registration efforts on high school and college campuses, as well as parts of the county where there is a record low turnout of voters -- whether socio-eonomic based reasons or location reasons. I will continue my voter registration efforts into 2016 and beyond.

How would you work to promote your party with the electorate?
Answer from Shaian Mohammadi:

I have organized for many democratic candidates at the local, state, and federal levels in the past. I have knocked on thousands of doors and have made thousands of calls for democrats, and I will contunue to do so because democrats lead.

Why did you become a member of this political party?
Answer from Shaian Mohammadi:

I have been a democrat all of my life. My parents, upon becoming eligible to register to vote as citizens, have been democrats all of their lives. They instilled the ideals of the American dream into my belief system, which lead me to the Democratic Party, where I was accepted as a young minority wanting to give back to a country and party that gave my family so much.
