My Top 3 Priorities

  • Increase safety coverage of District 5. While the city has 1.3 officers per 1000 residents, District 5 has approximately 1 officer for every 7,500 residents and its reflected in police response times and increasing of property crimes.
  • Infrastructure upgrade and maintenance NOW, not in 25 years. Stop wasting money painting streets and repave them correctly, now, and then constantly maintain them not just during election years.
  • Lower some of the water base fees that punish low water users, fixed income and low income users and seniors, and tie water AND sewer fees to water consumption.

Biography

Legally immigrated to USA in 1977, alone, as an 18 year old, put my self through college, and graduated debt free while fully self funding my education. Married since 1985 to the same woman, raised two sons, live in Scripps where the boys attended and graduated public schools and colleges.

Through hard honest work, my wife and I, achieved the American Dream a few times over and want to help improve my communities and it's members to achieve the same dreams, and continue to give back at a higher level, now that I can.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

There are 4 aspects of community management that separate the great from the good and the bad.

1) Safety, adequate police and fire (both lacking in SD District 5).

2) Good Schools (not overcrowded like many in D5)

3) Infrastructure (currently in disrepair citywide)

4) Environment ( affected by overbuilding, planned gas pipelines, disappearing park spaces).

For those reasons I am running, because I have seen the quality of all 4 decline under the last 3 city council members with no improvement in sight.
