My Top 3 Priorities

  • The county committee members have elected me to be chair of the committee since 2011. During this time I have worked to build the infrastructure of the committee to have a permanent presence in Sacramento. That is something I hope to continue.
  • I plan to work to grow and educate local Democrats so that there are strong and progressive community members willing and able to serve on local boards and commissions.
  • The local Democratic Party has always been strong in voter registration. We need to continue those efforts along with monitoring our county elections office to assure all votes are counted and polling places are accessible in all communities.

I have been a teacher for 16 years. I have been involved wth the county party for the past decade. I have learned a lot from my time on the committee and am honored the committee has elected me as chair since 2011. I have strived to build the committee. We are doing more than ever before. We have had a paremanent office at 1033 S Street for the past 5 years. We are now able to support local measures and candidates with more resources than ever before.

I have lived in Sacramento since 1984 and have seen a lot of changes, many great, some goodd, and some also not so good. I am proud to be a local Sacramentan and to teach and love in my community. I plan to be here for many more years and strive to make Sacramento better, especially for the underserved and unprepresented.
