I have long been invlolved in supporting efforts to enhance our communities.  To this end I've

1) co-written a bill to provide education and intervention for youths convicted of drunk driving in California,

2) actively promoted the retention of open space, forests and reducing environmental hazards through advocacy and political action,

3) worked to engage the public in the political process and

4) promoted public education as a means of raising up the quality of life for all.
