Doug Teeter
County Supervisor, District 5
Occupation: Small Business Owner                 Age: 49

It has been an honor to serve as your current Butte County Supervisor. Many comment that I am the first Supervisor who makes an effort to engage the public, through town halls and participating in community events. Greatest concerns are public safety and balanced budgets.

As a past forest firefighter, I know that fire suppression requires quick response from manned stations. I will continue my leadership in improving public safety, emergency services and hazard fuels reduction. I championed the installation of the Sawmill Peak fire camera, offering 24/7 coverage of our communities.

My grandparents, who survived the great depression, instilled into me that one should not spend more than they earn. As a Professional Fiduciary, my clients trust me to manage their personal well-being, money and estates. I will continue to be a good steward of your tax dollars and vote only for balanced budgets. I have never missed a meeting.

In addition, I advocate for policies that guard our water resources, protect agricultural lands, improve our local economy and preserve access to our public forests. I will listen to you, work fairly and vigorously on your behalf, and represent you.

I respectfully ask for your vote of confidence.
