Experience

Biography

Do you know what a NYWD Board Director does?

Don't worry, most people don’t. As a representative of their constituents, a Director decides what’s necessary to deliver safe, readily available and fairly priced water, for domestic and irrigation customers. They direct management to achieve these goals. They regularly listen to and communicate with their customers. Directors make financial decisions that impact rates, services, maintenance and expansion. Above all, Directors are honest, fair, transparent and informed, always without bias or personal gain. I’m asking to be your Director that fulfills this description.

Last fall, I teamed with concerned customers to defeat a problematic and unfair rate increase. I’m involved with the North Yuba Water Alliance, a group of customer advocates that are dedicated to keeping NYWD ethical and transparent while ensuring that water is affordable and accessible.

I’ve become well informed about NYWD’s issues and will continue to do so if elected. Bottom line, I care about customers; how they are treated, included and served by NYWD.

With an education in Marketing and Biochemistry, a career in business and marketing, former board experience, 40+ years’ connection to the hills and running a sustainable farm, I have a fresh, real-life approach to help NYWD achieve a positive future and bring an end to its current dysfunction.

As your Director I will hold myself to these standards!
