Questions & Answers

Questions from League of Women Voters of California Education Fund (1)

A recent law made major changes in the way that the state allocates funding to schools. What will you do to ensure that the public understands your local control formula for school spending and your plan to measure outcomes?
Answer from Crystal Sawyer-White:

I will be transparent and continuously fight to ensure local control formula funds to be properly allocated to our high risk students. I am in favor of Antioch School Board meetings to be televised and live streamed. In addition, I think we stood appoint a high school student to join the board. Hearing from a student who is enrolled in our district will give the public a honest point of view and will reveal successful learning outcomes.
