Biography

Roger Wykle grew up in the small town of Cortland, Ohio and enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1984. After receiving an appointment to the Coast Guard Academy, Roger received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with honors in 1989. Roger also earned a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Old Dominion University.

Roger served several tours of duty, including Navigator on board Coast Guard Cutters and Commanding Officer (CO) of the Long Range Radio Aid to Navigation Station in Kargaburun, Turkey. In addition, he served as Commanding Officer of the Civil Engineering Unit in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Upon retiring from the Coast Guard in 2009, Roger served as the Director of Ahtna Engineering Services and as Vice President/COO of Ahtna Government Services. Currently, Roger is the President and CEO of Sustainable Group, a firm specializing in the execution of Federal, State, and Utility Company projects in a sustainable way. He is a licensed professional engineer in California and Nevada. He lives with his wife and two children in Moraga, California.

Roger's volunteer services have included: Volunteer fire fighter in Cortland, Ohio; Co-chairperson for the Sony Open Golf Tournament in Hawaii (Hawaii's largest charity fundraising event); Member of the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Post of the Society of American Military Engineers; Moraga Town Council 2012-2016, Moraga Planning Commissioner, January of 2009 to 2012; Board of Directors, Campolindo Cabana Club Swim Team.
