My Top 3 Priorities

  • I want to promote and ensure a Safe, Equitable, and Inclusive environment for ALL students with continuing emphasis on achievement of the highest academic standards...also for ALL students!
  • Focus on expansion of Career Technical Education & CART offerings and opportunities to assist students in gaining job and career readiness.
  • Bring a Fresh and Broader perspective to our school board. Work in collaboration with other board members but share a different viewpoint as I did on the Board from '09 thru '12.

Raised in the rural Fresno County town of Kingsburg, graduated Fresno State, married to Maggie for 40 wonderful years, with 2 grown daughters... both grads of Clovis High.  Residents of Clovis since '89.   In the automotive service industry for many years, the past 15 as the service writer for the City of Clovis' Fleet.  Proudly served a successful term as CUSD Board Member from '09-'12.   I've been involved with Clovis schools and co-curricular activites since our girls attended.   Now volunteering as a Wildcat Watcher at our grandson's school, Valley Oak, and enjoying every minute of it!

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

The philosophy I take in as a Board member....then and now.... is let's do what's BEST for our children. All of them.  Give them a safe and encouraging environment.   Hire the best teachers and staff.  Communicate openly and often with parents and the community.   Listen to their concerns.  Work with all parties to resolve issues.    It's basically a pragmatic approach.    I have no preconceived agenda, religious or otherwise.   No aspirations for other political office.    I just want to do the best, most effective job I can as one of seven board members in this great school district.    I consider helping our schools and the educating of our children one of the highest callings a person can aspire to.
