My Top 3 Priorities

  • Public Safety is my NUMBER 1 Priority. The Auburn Police Department is currently staffed at MINIMUM STAFFING LEVELS ! ! ! I will work to restore orur police departments staffing to pre-recession levels.
  • Our city roads are in horrible condition. I will demand any future budgets will include a line item for the repair of our streets. Making our street repair a City of Auburn Public Works department priority.
  • Tjhe hiring of a new city manager is of the utmost importance. The right person will need to be chosen to direct our city into the future for many years to come. we HAVE TO stop the revolving door of managers at the cities top levels.

Profession:Retired Auburn Police Department Sergeant

Nobody knows a town any better than one of its cops, and I know Auburn. I’m Dave Lawicka, and I spent nearly 20 years with the Auburn Police. I love this place. I retired from the force as senior sergeant in 2014, and now I’m running for the Auburn City Council because I see so much that needs doing, and I honestly believe I can help.  I know this city and I know its people. I am the only candidate with two decades of HANDS ON EXPERIENCE in the city’s employ. No one on the council, or running for it, has the perspective and experience that I bring to the table. If elected this November, I promise you, I will work tirelessly to enhance our public safety departments, prioritize our cities spending, and bring common sense back to city hall. If you feel its time for a NEW VOICE and NEW IDEAS, please cast your vote for me, David Lawicka, this November 8th.
