Andrae is a Bakersfield City School Boardmember and non-profit CEO who is running for City Council to be an effective and accessible leader for our neighborhoods.

As a member of the Bakersfield City School District Board of Education, Andrae has improved the performance and safety of our neighborhood schools, and worked to get the best value for our tax dollars. He helped found a faith-based non-profit that works to improve the quality of life for families in need. In 2013, he founded Children First Campaign to keep kids off the street and focused on school.

Andrae’s leadership success has been recognized both locally and nationally. In August 2010, Bakersfield Life Magazine named him one of '10 people to watch' in Bakersfield. Andrae was also voted the Keep Bakersfield Beautiful Great American Cleanup Volunteer of the Year for 2016. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of a non-profit organization that helps seniors and disabled citizens manage their incomes. 

Andrae is a graduate of East Bakersfield High School and the University of California, Berkeley.
