My Top 3 Priorities

  • Trim City spending and find new revenues that don't require more taxes on the Citizens
  • Make City meetings more user friendly and seek Citizens input. Improve transparency, especially in City spending.
  • Reduce City bureaucracy, scrub City code of unneeded laws, reduce City fees that discourage new business

Community Activities

Soccer Coach, Ridgecrest Recreation Leagues (2000–2008)

As a 38 year resident of Ridgecrest  and employed at NAWC for 33 years,  my wife and I raised our 5 children here and grew to love this City.  I have enjoyed coaching  soccer teams, working on behalf of Children's Human Rights and teaching children while watching Ridgecrest  go through many changes.  I love the local regions and enjoy exploring the mountains and desert.  I believe Ridgecrest has much to offer for singles and families alike.  I know this because I have enjoyed the many musical events, sports opportunities, community gatherings and seen the kind caring hearts in our City. I have been part of  several local Churches and know this part of our Community to be a very valuable component.  I have worked carefully to apply my Christian Faith to local life in Ridgecrest.

Justice for ALL People is a central part of that application.

I have been highly involved in local affairs of all kinds for 15  years, having attended most Council Committee meetings and budget meetings.  I helped get over $4 million back to our Citizen's  wastewater fund after finding that the City had been illegally siphoning money from it.  I have consistently  urged the City Councils to function in a responsible manner fiscally and governmentally and work regularly with City Staff and Council to further a better life for our People.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I believe in limited Constitutional government.

My grassroots campaign needs the help of everyone who wants changes in Ridgecrest. Spread the word, Vote for Mike Neel! -- with signs, discussions, ads, letters to the editors. If I get elected, YOU will make it happen. I will fight for government that is best for YOU, not the City, County, or State.
