Ø  I was born and raised in Leavenworth, KS. My parents have owned a variety of small retail businesses my entire life. I met my amazing husband, Reid, after college. We have been married for 8 years this fall. We are blessed with three beautiful girls. We have been in Ridgecrest for over four years and love the community and the beautiful mountainous, desert landscape.

Ø  I attended the University of Kansas where I earned a Bachelors in Architectural Studies and a Masters in Urban Planning.

Ø  While finishing my Masters and post-graduation, I worked as a planning consultant for over 7 years. Since then I have been a stay-at-home mom. For the past two years I have taught art classes for the homeschool group, CHER. In addition, we have begun homeschooling our own children.

Ø  I am a proud follower of Jesus Christ! My family and I have always been active in our churches. I have been involved with youth and women's ministry, discipleship, small groups, bible studies, as well as property management.

Ø  I am currently serving as a Planning Commissioner until December.  I also serve on the Infrastructure Committee and the Quality of Life Committee for the City. In addition, I am the Chairman of Ridgecrest Citizens Against CasiNO!, a civic minded community group newly formed to oppose the off-reservation casino proposed by the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I'm running for city council for the following reasons:

Family. Community. Principles.

I want to help Ridgecrest experience some healthy growth, that promotes community and fosters family. We need more things for families to do together and encourages them to stay in town. Our city's economy needs healthy growth, so as a government we can live within our means and we can improve our citizens' quality of life.

I'm not afraid to stand up for what is right, and to strongly oppose what is wrong. We need strong leaders willing to vote for what is right.
