Continue the Excellence

It has been a tremendous four years serving on the FUHSD board, and I'm excited by what we've achieved.

Our students are excelling:

1) Academics - We are the top-rated high school district in California based on 2015 CAASPP.

2) Athletics – Fall 2015, 18 teams went to state sectionals.

3) The Arts - Our visual and performing arts programs continue to win superior awards

We have implemented Common Core Standards and smoothly transitioned to Smarter Balanced testing. Our district has enjoyed this success while being fiscally judicious and earning the highest bond rating in California.

We plan to build on this success by preparing for the Next Generation Science Standard, retaining and developing outstanding teachers, and making the bridge between community and schools even stronger.

My wife Loy and I have lived in Sunnyvale/Cupertino for 33 years and raised 4 children who have benefited from our schools. I will work to maintain that excellence and provide high levels of learning for all students. I respectfully ask for your vote on November 8.
