My Top 3 Priorities

  • We must take back our PUBLIC Hospital by revising the one-sided agreement that overpays three employees by $3 million per year and has cause our Hospital to be rated in the bottom 3% of all hospitals.
  • We must restore the quality of our health care, and finish our tower using ALL available resources.
  • We must restore the 19 doctors "fired" by the current Board, and get back the volumes of health services lost as a result.

I have 32 years' experience as a local government manager, with experiencce in budgets, contracts, and public construction. I am a firm bleiever in the public's right to know. I will insist the Board operates the Hospital with transparency and accountability, and the elected Board be restored as the authority for OUR PUBLIC HOSPITAL.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

The current Board has abdicated their board authority to an inexperienced, private company. The irrevocable contract pays someone who has never mamaged a hospital five time the market rate (over $3 million per year), and leaves the Board bound and gagged. The Board authorized 95% of the future profits be give to the private company, and has given that company the option to purchase the Hospital.

We need a new Board that will amend or cancel the agreement, and restore the authority of the elected Board to direct the Hospital's future and ensure that finances are well managed and transparent. We need to research funds from all available resources, get community consensus, and get firm bids, to finish the tower. Then, we can reforcus on quality medical care and bring back our terminated doctors. It is not an easy fix, but our community's health requires it. Help us keep on the "Road to Hospital Acccountability".
