My lifelong calling has been public service. This has led me to my greatest challenges and accomplishments.
I am a graduate of the United States Military Academy – West Point, class of 1988. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree and an officer’s commission, I led soldiers into battle in the 1991 Iraq campaign (Desert Storm) and received a Silver Star commendation for my actions. This training, experience, and insight has been my guide-post ever since.
Between the years of 2002 to 2015 I had the privilege of serving as a police officer in La Verne. I have personally seen what our community faces every day – our difficulties and our triumphs. Whether on patrol or as School Resource Officer, I dedicated myself to helping others in any way possible.
I now teach forensic science at our local high schools. We have amazing students, it is a joy to be their instructor. Ironically, they teach me more about themselves than I ever thought possible – their goals, fears, and hopes.
All of this has provided me with great insight to what our community needs. Our city deserves experienced, hard-working, devoted leadership. Please allow me to serve you as your City Council Member.
