My Top 3 Priorities

  • Oppose the High Speed Train and do all in my power politically or legally to prevent the High Speed Train from destroying our council district 7 communities. .
  • Prevent increasing crime by writing and lobbying state legislators to build more prisons to prevent over crowding and prevent need for early release.
  • To help prevent Land Use and Zoning abuses that destroy the character of neighborhoods and communities.

Political Beliefs

Position Papers

To defend Oppose High Speed Train, reduce increased crime and investigate Land Use/Zoning abuses.

Summary

Opposing the High Speed Rail, reduce increased crime and prevent Land Use/zoning abuses.

High Speed Train; Our communities oppose the unknown cost and threat of a High Speed Train. As a council representative I will do all in my power, politically and legally to communicate to the HSR Authority and state legislators to abolish any High Speed Train routes going through our CD7 district that would destroy our communities, adjacent Angeles Forest and our natural open space.

Increased Crime: As council member I will request LAPD to provide more presence of officers which deters crime. And, motor officers to deter speeding. I will also request code enforcement from various departments to be available for resident’s complaints and concerns, which will allow Police to handle more high risk calls. I will formally write and lobby state legislators to build the necessary prisons to house the growing prisoner population, instead of releasing prisoners early into our communities.  In addition, I will call press conferences to inform the public of our state legislators and city council's failed responsibility to provide public safety as priority.

Land Use Issues; Besides hiring local field deputies, I will hire a research person, construction estimator, media person to get important information out to our communities. A land use / zoning specialist, an accountant and an attorney for additional advice on defending CD7 from an over-reaching government, who my want to erroneously rezone parcels in violation of our community and specific plans. And, research for any laws or policies in the horizon that are not in the best interest of our constituents so I may inform residents, so we can stand strong and protect our district from unethical changes. In addition, staff and I will work closely with all CD7 Neighborhood Council's.  I may call press conferences to reach more of the residents who may not read our newsletter.
