My Top 3 Priorities

  • Prevent over-development so that our City can continue to offer residents a superior lifestyle and exemplary City services
  • Ensure that all residents are able to understand the City's finances and that the City is addressing its financial challenges directly and thoroughly
  • Develop innovative approaches to environmental challenges facing us, so that we can keep commitments we made to our residents

I was born in Los Angeles and raised on the west side of town. I graduated from UCLA and earned two advanced degrees in Texas - an MS in Environmental Health & Toxicology and an MS in Accountancy & Taxation. I worked for two of the largest CPA firms in the world and practiced as a California CPA for over 25 years before taking a job in municipal finance at a nearby city. I have owned my Glendale home for nearly 10 years, have been an active member of Rossmoyne Mountain Homeowners Association, and a volunteer and sustaining member of the Glendale Historical Society the entire time I've lived here. I also served as Treasurer of the Glendale Educational Foundation for a year. Before moving to Glendale I owned and resided in a condominium in Burbank, where I served as a Board member and Treasurer of our Homeowners Association. I fell in love, driving through what became my neighborhood and long dreamed of buying a house here. Then I fell in love with my house, and my love for the neighborhood and for all of Glendale has only grown over the ensuing years.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I consider myself a progressive, politically. I believe that Council should be an active body dedicated to promoting the interests of all of the City's residents. If residents, especially those living in close proximity oppose a proposal, that should be the acid test for Council in making a decision whether to approve or move forward with it. I believe that Council should constantly and proactively look for means and methods by which it can protect the interests of the residents. Additionally, I think it should be possible for any qualified Glendale citizen to successfully run for City office. I have run my campaign in accordance with my political philosophy, using grass roots methods, answering voters' questions, attending all possible events, and walking neighborhoods, knocking on doors and introducing myself and my views. I only promise actions that I sincerely believe I can deliver. I hope that my approach has resonated with voters.
