Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

The American tradition  of publicly financed, universal public education,  has long been one of the bedrocks of both our democracy and economy. A free, high quality public education helps to provide  every child and family the opportunity through hard work,  to advance their position and improve their lives. I believe this ready opportunity to advance through applied effort, has past and present, released vast quantities of human energy and innovation,  and  driven our economy forward, to the benefit of all. Those who take the initiatiative and risk of immigration to our country, and perhaps fill entry level positions essential to the vibrance and growth of our economy, find rightful long term reward in their children's ability, again through  effort and study,  to move up the ladder. These are similar values and energy to that which gave birth to our nation 241 years ago.
