My family brought me to the United States when I was 10 years old. With help from public school teachers, I became a citizen at eighteen and the first person in my family to earn a college degree. After my bachelor’s in history I earned a master’s in education. I am committed to repaying the debt I owe by helping new generations of children.

That’s why I became a public school teacher and that’s why I’m running for school board. As a teacher, I’ve spent nearly a decade meeting the needs of thousands of students – kids with Autism who struggle to fit in with their peers, kids who are bullied and feel alone in their distress, kids who are doing well academically but unsure of how they will pay for college.

All our children deserve champions who support themwhen hard work is not enough to reach the finish line. As your board member, I will work collaboratively and tirelessly to develop a supportive community that addresses the needs of every child. Our children’s stories are engraved in my heart and in my mind. You can bring their voices to the Long Beach School Board by voting for me on April 10th.
