After more than 25 years spent improving the educational outcomes for children around the Fresno metropolitan area, I have decided to run for Fresno City Council, District 3. I was born and first educated in District 3. I have worked at multiple middle schools and high schools in District 3. District 3 is home to the only two churches I have held membership -- Westside COG and Fresno Temple COGIC. Serving as an educator and local community activist has prepared me to meet this region's challenges. District 3 has tremendous diversity, encompassing the industrial park on Central/North Ave., West Fresno, Chinatown, Downtown, the Lowell area, southern Tower District, and the area west of Highway 99 up to Shields. I will accomplish goals of responsible community development, increased economic progress, and safe and secure neighborhoods by working with District 3 residents and stakeholders, hearing and representing their interest on the council. I am committed to increasing community engagement through the creation of neighborhood and community councils that represent those living, working, and worshipping throughout District 3. Together, we can build a beautiful and vibrant District 3 for now and the future.
