  • Stabilize housing costs for renters and our next generation
  • Increase transparency and accountability in city government

Profession:Transportation Planner
Planning Programs Manager, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (2013–current)
Chair, Alameda Economic Development Strategic Plan Task Force — Appointed position (2017–2018)
Board member/ Board President, Alameda Planning Board — Appointed position (2012–2017)
TravelChoice Program Manager, TransForm (2005–2012)
Vice-Chair, Alameda Sunshine Task Force — Appointed position (2010–2011)
Commission Chair, Alameda Transportation Commission — Appointed position (2002–2009)
Commissioner / Chair, Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee — Appointed position (2003–2005)

I have served as Alameda’s Planning Board President, Transportation Commission Chair, Sunshine Task Force Vice-Chair, and Economic Development Task Force Chair:

  • Co-authoring rules requiring all new developments to pay for transportation services that reduce traffic impacts;
  • Writing the city’s open government and transparency rules that provide greater access to public decision-making than required by State laws; and
  • Creating a strategy to support Alameda businesses and grow jobs.

And in my capacity on the Alameda Point Collaborative Board, I fought for housing and services for formerly homeless families, veterans, and victims of domestic violence.

We’ve worked together through the years building consensus solutions and bringing our community together. That’s why I’ve already been endorsed by respected leaders like Assemblyman Rob Bonta, BART Board President Robert Raburn, and AC Transit Director Elsa Ortiz.

Professionally, I work for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency as a Transportation Planner in the Planning Division working to increase roadway safety and supporting residents, employees and visitors in reducing drive-alone trips by using transit, bicycles and walking.
