My Top 3 Priorities

  • Ensure that low income and disabled homeowners and renters are not displaced by creating an insurance program that would cover both rent increases and rising property expenses (details on website).
  • Improve services and permanently house our homeless. Work regionally to ensure that other cities do their share and don't send us their homeless. Improve police oversight through an independent police commission
  • Preserve Berkeley’s diversity by creating a weighted lottery system for expanded public and limited equity housing. Coordinate with other cities to fund more public housing through state corp. taxation.
