My Top 3 Priorities

  • I hope to make the Board more accessible to new voices and perspectives, using my experience to better educate the community on the role of its school board, and to clarify policies and practices to ensure effectiveness as a citizens’ oversight body.
  • We're working to reduce serious budget deficits resulting from insufficient state funding and rising costs, and what to cut, to retain, or how to grow in new directions will be a priority.
  • We’re in the midst of major facilities construction projects, and I will work to ensure that plans are credible and carried through.

I'm an information technology and policy professional, currently serving as Security Officer for Rocket Lawyer, a legal technology start-up in San Francisco.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I am a progressive liberal, greatly concerned about sustainability (ecological, economic and social). And I vote, in every election. I'm a registered no-party-preference voter. I am a believer in citizen government, and first ran for the school board to have a hand in sustaining the high quality of a public education in Albany, and elsewhere (everywhere, really). And we have a Little Free Library in our front yard: books and education should be accessible to everyone, the whole of their lives.
