My Top 3 Priorities

  • Outstanding Customer Service - Continue to provide excellent sewer and solid waste services to our customers at the lowest rate in the State of California and maintain the status of Gold Standard for other sanitary districts.
  • Communication and Education - Educate customers and children on the correct waste stream for their trash with the goal of reducing waste going to land fill and illegal dumping. Protecting our environment for future generations.
  • Financial Health - Maintain the financial health of the District and its AA+ credit rating. The District has received for 23 consecutive years an award for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

I have over 30 years of Human Resources professional experience with a Fortune 500 company, including performance management, employee training, human resources compliance, safety, wellness, organizational development, interpersonal and group dynamics facilitation.  In addition to my corporate experience, I worked for Stanford University Graduate School of Business as a facilitator for their Interspersonal Dynamic Course and the Director of the Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) high school outreach program for the School of Engineering.   I have served on the Board of the Oro Loma Sanitary District for the past 3 years and believe my skills and qualifications have contributed to the success of the District.  My corporate and academic background offers a different perspective to resolving issues and introducing new ideas. As a trained counselor and facilitator, I have an understanding of relationships and team dynamics which are very important skills to have on a Board.  My education and training has assisted in strenghten the partnership between the District and the communities we serve.  I am actively engaged in the Eden Area communities and serve on the League of Women Voters for Eden Area Board of Directors.  In the positions as Board Secretary, Chair of the Personnel, Safety and Public Information Committee and member of the Solid Waste Committee for the Oro Loma Sanitary District, I strive to be worthy of the trust bestowed on me by collaborating with other agencies to develop solutions to address illegal dumping and waste reduction to landfill.  I am prepared and committed to supporting the District’s continued effort to provide excellent services to the families and individuals in the Oro Loma Sanitary District at the lowest possible cost.  I will continue to ensure we foster individual responsibility through educational awareness, work to strengthen the partnership between the District and the communities we serve.  I will endeavor to be a strong advocate of protecting our environment through waste management, affecting zero harm for future generations.
