Brief description of present and future work of Hospital.

It is my great privilege to serve on the Washington Hospital Board. During my leadership tenure on the board, the hospital has grown to become the Major Medical Center of Southern Alameda County. September 13th, we will open the new and much needed 230,000 sq. ft. Critical Care Building which includes a new emergency department. This much larger emergency department will allow Washington Hospital to become a designated trauma center. Also, the hospital has been honored as one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation by Healthgrades, and recently, U.S. News has given the hospital the “Best Regional Hospital” award.

Your vote November 6th will enable me to continue the strong leadership that guarantees that our hospital will provide the best care possible for you and your family. I am committed to making world-class healthcare available and easily accessible to every resident in our district.

Personal Introduction

My personal feelings and reasons for running

I was born and raised in this area, and my wife, Nancy, and I enjoy having three of our five children living in Fremont with their families.  We have ten grandchildren living close to us.  I have been a practicing dentist in my own private practice for over 46 years. I love living here.  It is a magnificent area  of unbounded oppportunity, and invigorating diversity.  I have a strong desire to serve our communities and and maintain the wonderful attributes of this area.  Every citizen--every family-- is affected daily , either directly or indirectly, by the Washington Hospital Healthcare Sysetm.  I will maintain comple loyalty to the needs of all the citizens of this District and do all in my power to help us all receive the very best healthcare possible.  I commit myself to absolute integrity and independence.  My years of experience give my a powerful perspective on accomplishing these goals.
