My wife and I have two children at Forest Grove Elementary School. We have been involved with the P.T.A. and we enjoy volunteering at the school and in the classrooms. I grew up all over the country as a military dependent. I have lived in or visited every state except Alaska which has provided me the opportunity to see the many diverse parts of our country and learn about our history. The Marine Corps brought my family to Monterey in 2000 and while we were stationed here I met my beautiful wife, Kelly, a Pacific Grove native. After graduating college, we returned to the Monterey Peninsula to start our family. We moved back to the same neighborhood my wife grew up in with our two wonderful children and our two dogs. As a CPA at a local accounting firm I have worked hard to become a partner and leader in the firm. This hard work and determination was instilled in me as a child and I continue to apply that work ethic in everything I do. My mother is a school teacher and my father is a retired Marine and financial analyst. They both taught me the importance of serving others in the community.

PGUSD has an outstanding reputation of being one of the best school districts in Monterey County but there is still room for improvement. I will work to ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn in a positive, safe, and stimulating environment while being challenged academically. I have served on the Forest Grove School Site Council for over a year and have attended many school board meetings. I want my children and the rest of the students in this community to learn, grow, and develop in the best school system possible.
