My Top 3 Priorities
- - Stronger support for science, math & technology: Studies show that the stronger the math and science taught to a young person, the more successful they will be in life.
- - Careful spending: As your trustee, keeping the budget on track for our local schools is critical. I've served on (3) bond oversight committees. I ran my own business for 46 years. I will be sure to watch every penny.
- - Teacher retention & improved facilities: Our teachers are our greatest asset. I pledge to make sure they are well paid and well supported. I will work hard to make sure our students have modern equipment and facilities.

Our children deserve the best education possible. We need a district that stretches every penny and keeps the focus on strong math, science, English and the arts. I’m prepared to give my time and energy to making our local schools stronger. I am a longtime resident of North Salinas volunteering for numerous non-profits including Rotary, the Rodeo & the Masons. I have served on four bond oversight committees including Salinas City Elementary, Alisal Union, Hartnell and Salinas Union High School Districts. I also currently serve as a planning commissioner for the City of Salinas. I have deep experience with budgets and can assure you watching after the finances of the district will be my top priority. Our elementary school district has a host of important challenges including teacher retention, facility modernization and student enrichment. I’m passionate about our next generation and truly believe I can make a difference as your school board representative. I respectfully ask for your vote.
