Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I am running because there was not a Councilmember who represented my values. Instead of waiting for someone else to jump in the race, I decided to take the journey myself. I'm running because there are many in Huntington Beach who are not having their voices heard when it comes to city services or the direction of the city, and I want to change that.

As a teacher, I saw the looks on my students' faces after the 2016 election and I knew that something must be done to protect our future. That is why I’m running.

I am at every meeting, event, rally, and information session possible because I am naturally curious and passionate about the issues our city is addressing but also believe their representatives should be present in the community. I have an open-door policy and will meet with voters and stakeholders over coffee, drinks, etc.
