I have been a resident in Laguna Hills for 20 years and raised five children who attended Saddleback Valley Unified School district schools. I was raised in Northern California and attended and graduated from UCLA with a BA in Political Science. I worked in various positions from working in a city government to being a substitute campus supervisor at elementary schools in the school district. I was a stay-at-home mom while serving the community through many organizations such as PTA, Scouts (boys and girls), sports and music programs and church. I volunteered my time to raise funds for all these organizations as well as the local food bank and city events. I believe in serving and giving back to the community and have been involved since my teens. I continue to serve the community as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner for the City of Laguna Hills currently and as a Board Member of the Saddleback Valley Educational Foundation. I believe in making a differerence and being involved in your community is one way to do this.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I am Christina “Chris” Mackey and I am a candidate for Laguna Hills City Council. Elections are on November 6th and I need YOUR VOTE!

As a 20-year resident of Laguna Hills, my husband, Brian and I raised a family of five children. Over that time, I have been extensively involved in our community, including PTA, Scouts, fundraising, Saddleback Valley Educational Foundation, Valencia Education Foundation, music boosters, sports, city volunteer and church. Since 2013, I served as a Commissioner on the Laguna Hills City Parks and Recreation Commission. With many years of experience, I envision serving the community as a member of Laguna Hills City Council. I believe in service and giving back to the community and through my beliefs I desire to make a difference.

As a person vested in the community, I listen to people and find solutions. I work to research and understand all aspects of an issue to make educated decisions in the best interest of our community.

My priority is always safety first for all our residents.  We must work together with our first responders and support programs to connect and protect our citizens.

We must work with other cities and the County to find solutions to our growing homeless population and as well as unlicensed group home facilities.

We must encourage land developers to listen to our residents and City Council members regarding construction and new businesses in Laguna Hills.

I encourage greater participation by citizens in City business and management, and encourage people to attend City Council meetings, be involved and ask questions.
