My Top 3 Priorities

  • As an experienced nonprofit executive, I will work with police and local service providers to solve the homeless crisis in our city.
  • With proven experience as a fiscal watchdog, I will end the pension debt in our city and prevent the council from raising our sales taxes.
  • As an innovator in public finance, I will bring new revenue streams to our local economy that will keep our city financially secure.

Experience

Biography

Born and raised in Orange County, my entire life has been dedicated to public service.  As an Eagle Scout, a case worker, legislative assistant, and now nonprofit executive, I have advocated and been a voice for Orange County residents for more than twenty years.

Having a track record of proven results, I have the knowledge, experience, and vision to lead the City of Orange into the next decade.  I will tackle the toughest issues pressing our city today taking homelessness head on and will lead the reform to cut the unfunded pension liability debt and ensure that our city has diversified streams of revenue to weather any potential downturns in the economy.

With a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Cal State Fullerton, I have worked on important policy issues affecting our city such as property tax reform bringing more dollars back to our city, preventing Governor Jerry Brown from eliminating funding for senior care, and advocating for environmental policy to protect our most precious resources.

Orange is a unique and diverse city with a rich history and landscape that should be preserved and celebrated.  As your Mayor, I will work hard to ensure that the City of Orange will continue to thrive for many generations to come.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I have worked for government, nonprofits, corporations, and own a business.  I understand how hard it is for businesses to succeed in California.

I have helped balance the state budget, helped a small nonprofit grow into a billion dollar community health care provider and have worked with community groups on issues that help veterans and military families, seniors, homeless, individuals with disabilities.
