My Top 3 Priorities

  • Stopping Water Rate Increases - We can stop future water rate increases and repair the aging water system without raising taxes or fees.
  • Fighting Unnecessary Desalination Efforts - The current Poseidon project is environmentally and fiscally unsound. It is based on outdated, ineffective technology, and is widely opposed by residents and ratepayers.
  • Increased Transparency & Resident Involvement - I'll increase transparency and resident involvement by taping and televising meetings. I'll respectfully listen to and incorporate resident input. Growing public participation is essential.

founding member, past President, Orange Coast River Park Inc. (2010–2015)

The role of the Mesa Water Board is:  1) Strategic Planning,  2) Fiduciary Responsibility, and  3) Policy Making. Both my professional background and community service have perfectly prepared me for the tasks ahead. I'm passionate about a data driven, collaborative approach respectful and inclusive of diverse viewpoints. Best outcomes include multiple bottom lines: financial, social and environmental.

Chair of Fairview Park Steering Committee (4/17-present)I've enjoyed working with the Committee in helping provide advice to the City Council regarding the implementation of the Fairview Park Master Plan, including necessary updates, with the goal of a comprehensive restoration strategy.

Costa Mesa Finance and Pension Advisory Committee Member (4/17-present)We've reviewed short and long range financial planning and funding for the City, as well as, City's financial documents and statements. The Committee has made recommendations to the City Council regarding amendments to financial and budgetary policies and processes. Personally, I've been instrumental in working to maximize City revenue streams, especially regarding sales tax revenue generated by the Fairgrounds.

Founding Member, Vice President, President Orange Coast River Park, Inc (5/2010-12/2015): By coordinating efforts across boundaries and stakeholders the organization seeks greater efficiencies, eliminates waste, and attracts greater funding from government, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s), and private sources.
