My Top 3 Priorities

  • Protect and Increase funding for police and fire, and other local services.
  • Support local businesses and to encourage new businesses to locate in Coalinga,
  • I will exercise fiscal responsibility in city investments, while keeping Coalinga affordable for all, families, senior citizens and singles.



I am a native of Coalinga born & raised here. I married a girl from Avenal Norma and we raised two sons Michael & Jason here. I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for my family and our residents.   I have represented the City as a council member since 1998 serving as Mayor and Councilman.  I am now a retired Correctional Officer from Pleasant Valley State Prison retiring in December of 2017.  I was Citizen of the Year for Coalinga in 1988 and also a member of the Coalinga Volunteer Fire Department retiring after 38 years. I was also very active in Coalinga youth sports, football and baseball.  I volunteered with the Horned Toads football teams for many years as their trainer.  I was also a past president of the South San Joaquin Valley California League of Cities representing 39 Cities in the San Joaquin Valley. I am now the Treasurer for the Association of California Cities Allied for Public Safety representing over 20 Cities in the State.
