My Top 3 Priorities

  • Safer, cleaner streets - more streetlights, maintenance on existing ones, more police presence, police enforcement of existing laws, less needle litter, repercussions for illegal camping, full drug rehabilitation facilities.
  • A stimulated economy - explore options with the City to present an opportunity to property owners to incentivize or subsidize their rental amounts, both commercial and residential, so everyone can afford a place to live or a place to do business.
  • Once these two previous issues are addressed, I would love to see the arts flourish. We can’t have tourism with our current problems and those need to be addressed first.

I grew up in San Antonio, moved to San Diego years after high school to attend college. Moved from there to Compton to be close to my family. After a few years, moved to Arcata to attend college. I am a year away from my biology degree, but I chose to start a family so I did not receive my diploma.

I have lived in Eureka at the same residence since 2004. I am married and raising 2 children, 14 & 11.  I am a small business owner.  Co-owner of Johnson Auto Electric and sole owner of Caroline’s TX BBQ.

I worked for DHHS Social Services branch for 10 years and left having worked every program they have to offer, including eligibility investigations.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I am running for a non-partisan position and want to be the voice of every one in my ward regardless of political preference. I do not intend to Inject my personal or political beliefs into doing my job as a city council member.

I will say I am fiscally conservative, I will not support any unnecessary tax increases, I will research any frivolous spending bills that have been voted on but not yet enacted & I will research the budget and attempt to align it.
