My Top 3 Priorities

  • Educational Equity. Ensuring that ALL our children receive the best possible education no matter their ability, race, religion, gender or economic status.
  • School Climate. Make our schools a place where students and their families feel welcome, valued and safe. Our schools should be a place where students have access to needed services like physical and mental health, food pantries or even laundry.
  • Purposeful Governance. Continue to ensure that our district has a vision and polices to move forward in the ever changing world we live in, always with the children's best interest in mind.

Sales Associate, The Home Depot, Chico, Ca. (2014–current)
Delegate, Region 4B (Butte County), California School Board Association Delegate Assembly — Elected position (2014–current)

I know our School District and what is needed, but most importantly, I know our students. I have been involved with our schools since 2004. I've seen students grow and learn from Kindergarten through High School. I know how hard our teachers, administrators and staff work to ensure our students receive the best education in a vibrant and safe environment. I want our schools to be capable of preparing our students for jobs and careers that haven't even been thought of yet.

As a School Board Member, I have worked hard to keep and restore libraries, art, music, sports, and career pathway programs that keep our students interested in school and prepare them for the future. I support and advocate community involvement in our schools, and listen to the concerns and problems of the community to make our schools a better place for our children. I am not afraid to ask questions and make tough decisions, and I do my research and stay informed so I can make the right decisions. I understand the challenges ahead. As a School Board Candidate, I am prepared to meet these challenges with steadfast determination and to always be “a voice for the children.”
