I was born and raised in Beijing. Upon graduating from college with a degree in engineering, I came to the US in 1997 as a Chinese language teaching fellow at Hamilton College, where I received a teaching rating of 4.95/5. Then, under a scholarship, I earned an MBA in supply chain and finance at Michigan State University. I worked for Apple from 2000 to 2012, where I grew from an entry-level manager to senior director at age of 35, overseeing multibillion- dollar product lines as well as handling corporate social responsibilities.

Since 2013, I have been splitting my time between caring for my young children and developing start-up projects. I also devoted hundreds of hours to local school and community services, such as serving on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley. I currently serve as a member of Los Altos Hills Education Committee, a mentor of the AVID program at Los Altos High School, and a sponsor of a library program at Jinlong Hope School in Yunnan, an underdeveloped rural area in southern China.

I live with my husband of 21 years and our two young daughters (7 and 4).  I love to travel with my family when time permits. I have been to 20+ countries and developed an itinerary planning software.
