My name is Viviana Longoria. I am a lifelong resident of El Monte and attended local schools: Maxson Elementary, Kranz Junior High, and I graduated from Mountain View High School in 1996.  I married my high school sweetheart Gus and together we raised our three children in El Monte.  As a former educator, I’ve worked hard to inspire young people to achieve their dreams. I currently hold a position in a non-profit organization where I assess classrooms and assist in improving quality education for young children, as well as, train educators in providing a strong educational foundation for their students.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I understand that our City is going through many changes and as a longtime resident I’m hoping to encourage and inspire more people to get involved in shaping the future of our City.

Our City is filled with potential and I would like to be a part of empowering others to get involved.  The City Treasurer provides oversight for City expenditures.  My goal is to help demystify City finances so that more people can take part in the decision making process.

I would love to serve my hometown with integrity and transparency. My goals are to create a strong balanced budget, remain fiscally responsible, and I want to work with our city leadership to support El Monte’s economic growth. It is with gratitude and humility that I offer my services to the citizens of El Monte to serve as your City Treasurer. With your vote, I will help move our City forward. Thank you for your consideration.
