Political Beliefs

Position Papers

Compton Community College is in need of more classes, students, faculty and degrees.

Summary

Compton Community College has low student enrollement, not enough professors, not enough classes in order for a student to earn their degree.

I offer strong creativity and leadership skills. I have gained these skills as a former Compton School Biard Trustee, Compton City Council, Union member and President of my Local. I want alsong with the Board Of Trustee increase enrollment, by going out to the community, not waiting for the community to come to us. Hire more professors, we are down 37 cources,  create a Joint Labor Management Committee to addrss the needs fo our students, professors, faculty, administration and the community. I will be very forwrd in my thinking by working along with the students, faculty, board members and the community. There must be community involement at every level. We need to have a commission made of the community from each area and a staff person assigned to that commission.  We have 5 areas of representation, Compton holds two, Paramount, Lynwood and South Gate. Carson had a seat at one time, we the board need to reacess the carson seat. I have lived in Compton since June of 1968, before we moved to compton, I knew about Compton College. We cn not bring back the old glory, but we can bring in new invoated ideas to help our students, faculty, administrattion, along with  board members  to help /assist Compton College to succeed .
