My Top 3 Priorities

  • Safety of the students, parents and staff. With Camarillo growing at such a rapid pace we need to make sure that safety forgotten while we grow..
  • Improve communication between the School Board and other elected officials. Far too much money is taken from our schools and it seems that people do not want to stand up for our teachers and students.
  • To give students more tools to succeed in life I would like to see more life skills and physical education classes. I also feel the students would benefit from Spanish 2nd language classes.

Profession:Safety Specialist/Inspector
Safety Specialist/Inspector, Ventura County Schools Self-Funding Authority (2011–2015)

National Recreation and Park Association, Safety Center Incorporated Certified Playground Safety Inspector, Certified Safety Management Specialist, Safety and Risk Management (2013)

Community Activities

Boys & Girls Club Safety Task Force, Boys & Girls Club of America (2017–current)

I am a husband and father to three lovely PVSD students. Well now two since my oldest has gone on to OUHSD. Back in 2006 my wife and I moved to Camarillo from Ventura. We decided to put down roots next to the good schools rather than the sandy beaches. Soon after my daughter became a Pre-K student and my wife joined the business office. Not to be outdone I volunteered and took temporary jobs to help fill district needs. You may have seen me as the “Food Services Assistant”, or the “Custodian” or even the “Mailman”. Later I became the Safety Inspector and was based out of the County Office of Education. Having those opportunities allowed me to see that my wife and I made the best decision back in 2006.

Political Philosophy

If the government can tell us how to teach our kids they can help pay for it. No matter what party they are from the best interest of the children should always be a top priority.
