My Top 3 Priorities

  • Budget - Safety
  • Beach - Safety
  • Business

My entire working life has been in the Risk Management field. My first real job was as a production worker for 3M Company in Cama rillo Ca.  There, I was exposed to a world class Risk Management program which highly influenced by career goals.  I have worked as a Workers Compensation cliams adjuster for several insurnce company's.  My most faovite job was with EBASCO Constructors / ENSEARCH corporation where I was a Senior Claims Adjuster and Hearing Representative. Unforntunately, my units were sold and I then became the Director of Risk Management and Safety for Oxnard Union High School District for nearly 17 years.  Currently, I am the CEO for a small privately owned company called Brain Injury Homes Inc.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

My political philosohy is simple, community service is where I start.  If all of us invest in our communities through community service, positive things will happen.  Runing for City Council is an act of community service, getting elected is the ultimate in community service.  The City Council can't alone solve all the communities problems, only when all interested parties come together can positive progress be made.  My campaign platform is based on the folowing: Budget, Beach and Business.  In these safety has to be the number one conern.  With regards to the budget, we must at the end of the budget year review all line items.  In that review, I propose to identify the policies specific to all expenditurews and revenues and see if they are producing the desired results.  When desired results are not ocurring, its the councils role to make meaningful adjustments after hearing from all interested parties.  With regards to the Beach, we need to maximize beach activities which produce parking revenue.  We also need to get the federal government to restore sand levels to that pror to 2012.  In regards to business, we need to become the Business Friendly City by the Sea and enact policies which make it factual.
