My Top 3 Priorities

  • Eliminate Auburn's budget deficit by encouraging new business, including lifting food truck and dispensary restrictions.
  • Establish online resources for viewing upcoming events and promote better parking.
  • Hire a new police chief who is tough on hard drugs and will operate an environment where all are held accountable.

Christopher was part of the first-ever kindergarten class at Skyridge school and went on to EV Cain and Placer High School, where was on the tennis and wrestling teams. He went to UC San Diego for college and San Jose State for postgraduate school. After returning to Auburn, he became owner of Man Cave Auburn, a downtown gift store with many unique items. His passion for Auburn shows as he consistently funds local teams and nonprofits, supports charity events, volunteers at the shelter, shops locally, and enjoys our natural wonders with his golden retriever, Kylie.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Christopher's introduction to activism came founding a classifieds website to compete with Craigslist without offering services that promoted prostitution. When the dust settled, Craigslist closed its exotic services section that had forced thousands into sexual slavery. Recently, Kershner took part in a class-action police brutality lawsuit resulting in millions in settlements and mandatory retraining of Placer's sheriff’s department. Christopher is also a driving force and contributor to the new public security cameras in Downtown and Old Town Auburn.   Christopher plans to tackle closing Auburn's budget deficit, establish online resources for viewing upcoming events, promote better parking, encourage new businesses including lifting food truck and dispensary restrictions, and approve a police chief with demonstrated ability to significantly cut hard drug use and operate in an open environment.   He will be donating all city council compensation to Auburn nonprofits and is excited to add a fresh young perspective to city government.
