Biography
I moved to Tehachapi with my family at the age of 12. I grew up and went to schools here prior to joining the U.S. Air Force where I served as a Military Firefighter. I met and married my wonderful wife Andrea right here in Tehachapi over 18 years ago. After being Honorably discharged from the service, I was hired as a Police Officer and I currently serve at the rank of Sergeant having previously served as an interim Lieutenant. I have enjoyed a wonderful career. Public Safety is very important to me. I possess an A.S in Criminal Justice. I am a graduate of The Sherman Block Supervisory Leaderhsip Institute, and the Los Angeles Fire Department Leadership Academy.
My wife and I love Tehachapi and we feel blessed to be raising our 3 children right here in our hometown. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing and volunteering for Tehachapi AYSO where I help to coach my son Ethan's soccer team. I believe in the importance of service to others. As a local homeowner and taxpayer, I aim to ensure responsibility, accountability and transparency for the people of Tehachapi.
Political Beliefs
Political Philosophy
In the midst of so many charged political debates and labels, I am very happy to be running for a non-partisan office. I seek the opportunity to represent my fellow friends and neighbors on the issues that are important to them.. right here in the beautiful town of Tehachapi. As a proud military veteran, I consider myself to be a patriotic American. I believe in the constitutional principles of freedom and liberty that have made our country great. I value hard-work and personal responsibility. I believe the government works at the pleasure of the people and must answer to the citizens accordingly. I believe in having a big tent with plenty of room for people with different opinions and beliefs. I am fiscally conservative and I look for opportunities to cut and prevent waste as well as opportunities to operate more effeciently. I genuinely care and appreciate the charitable efforts of our churches, and great people, particularly those that help our local families in times of need.
