Hello Rosamond. I'm Greg Washington and I'm running for a seat on the Rosamond Municipal Advisory Council. I am currently a 28 year employee for The Metropolitan Water District Of Southern California, working the past 14 years as a Water System Operations Team Manager.

I was a MWD Regional Safety Committe chairman (2 years) , and currently work in a advisory role for the Committee. I am a certified FEMA repsonder and am also currently a Western Region Supervisor Association Rep.

In the community, I was a 2005 Coach of the year in youth football and later became President of Rosamond Youth Football and Cheerleading for 4 years, with the focus on providing a outlet to young kids to learn cheerleading, football and personal responsibility, regardless of their economic condition. I also served as a Regional Commisioner for The High Desert Football and Cheer League.

After leaving football, I decided to help Senior Citizens in the West Boca Raton, Fl area, serving as Homeowner Association President. In this capacity, I manged the property and assisted seniors in remodifing past due association and legal fees that they had acured. This is something I'm extremely proud of.

Im a 25 year resident and homeowner in Rosamond and have always volunteered in the community and have contributed to worthy causes. My daughter was 2011 Miss Rosamond, serving and representing the community in various funtions.

Currently I'm establishing a non profit program slated for Sept 2019 called ' Gregs After School Adventures'. This program will assist in development of our in the community.

As I approach retirement soon, I hope to be elected to the Board in order to roll my sleeves up and assist in tackling some of our community issues. I believe the years of experience I have attained in management, problem solving, conflict collaboration and serving the million of Southern California residents with high quality water, makes me an ideal candidate to assist in our community.

With me you will get nothing short of my best effort. Please come out and vote for me!

Thank you
