My Top 3 Priorities

  • Educational Excellence - Small class sizes, an integrated curriculum and exceptional teachers create a first-class educational experience. Let's keep it that way by focusing on proven, research-based approaches to education.
  • Fiscal Responsibility - Measure MM allows us to address pressing facilities needs without tapping into the general fund. We must ensure every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely so we realize the full value of our investment in our community schools.
  • Accountability and Transparency - Increased engagement and transparency are pivotal for building and sustaining trust. All board meetings should be recorded, and the board should seek broader community input.

As an actively involved DMUSD parent and taxpayer, I believe that the Board of Trustees must operate with accountability for continued educational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and transparency with the community. With a straightforward, common-sense approach, I will ask tough questions, bring fresh ideas, and work collaboratively with the board, district and community to deliver the best possible outcomes. DMUSD students, teachers and taxpayers deserve no less.

In my 20-year career in IT and data analytics, I have built a reputation as a clear thinker who solves complex problems to achieve business objectives and drive results. For the past seven years, I’ve held an IT leadership position at a global genomics company where I’ve successfully implemented large-scale, company-wide projects by collaborating and communicating with a broad base of stakeholders. These skills will help DMUSD and the broader community to ensure that our decisions meet both the near-term and long-term needs of students, teachers and the community.

I have been a Dad’s club member at my children’s school for six years, and I have been a regular volunteer in both the classroom and at PTA-sponsored events. In this time, I’ve seen our exceptional teachers, students and school community demonstrate why DMUSD is one of the highest-performing districts in the state. If elected, my focus on accountability, responsibility and transparency will ensure that our students continue to get the best possible education and taxpayers get the full value of our investment.
