Questions & Answers

Questions from The League of Women Voters San Diego (4)

Do you support increasing the housing density in the City of Lemon Grove? What other options might there be for improving the City's supply of affordable housing?
Answer from Teresa Rosiak:

Lemon Grove has met the requirements for housing but Smart Growth is required for our city to continue. The previous plans by the countil was not Smart Growth so therfore the motion di dnot pass.

Do you approve of the City's current approach to addressing the problems of homelessness? What specific changes, if any, would you make?
Answer from Teresa Rosiak:

No I do not approve the current approach and the current council is not doing nearly enough.

I would collaborate with numerous programs in San Diego that offer services to the homeless and I would bring them to Lemon Grove and together we can provide much needed servies and support in our own city so that the homeless can get a hand-up and be able to get off of the streets and thrive.

Do you support any specific projects to promote economic activity in the City? Why or why not?
Answer from Teresa Rosiak:

First of all Lemon Grove needs to be cleaned up so that we look inviting to businesses that might want to locate to Lemon Grove. We need to seek out business and beg them to come to lemon Grove so that our residents will not be spending their money in other cities.

Question 4: LAW ENFORCEMENT OVERSIGHT

Do you believe that the Citizens Law Enforcement Review Board (CLERB) has adequate independence, authority, and resources to provide effective civilian review, if there are allegations of sheriff deputy misconduct in the City of Lemon Grove? What changes, if any, do you think should be made to that body?
