My name is Craig Garcia and I am running for San Marcos City Council in District 1.

Many of you already know me as the owner of Old California Coffee House & Eatery in

Restaurant Row. We have been donating to the schools, charitable organizations and

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Craig Garcia is a Smart Growth Candidate who is deeply invested in San Marcos, as a

business owner, as a member of the Creek Development Task Force, as a member of

the Chamber of Commerce, and as a former member of the Board of North County

Health Services. In the course of this involvement, Craig has heard community

concerns about our city and is ready to address them and work with Council to make

our city even better than it is today. Craig has and will continue to labor hard to be

accessible, to listen to residents, and to work to make San Marcos a place we can all

continue to be proud of.

Craig’s top priorities include Traffic, Safety and Jobs. His goal is to alleviate traffic on

San Marcos Blvd and will work hard to bring funding to the 78 Freeway. Craig supports

the City’s effort to build the infrastructure it needs with new roads & bridges. As your
