Preguntas y Respuestas

Preguntas de The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles County ILO (1)

Do you favor alternative, non-jail sentences for non-violent offenders and what options should be available?
Respuesta de Javier Perez:

An alternative to jail for non-violent crimes should always be considered first. Whether it is the best option depends on the crime, the level of sophistication and the defendant's record. I often authorize non-jail offers in my role as supervisor. Our office offers community labor and community service as alternatives. Justice doesn't necessarily mean jail.
