Deputy Field Director, Scott Peters for Congress (2012–2012)
Field Organizer, Sierra Club - No on Prop 23 Campaign (2010–2010)

I am a father, husband, attorney, and resident of Mar Vista running for the Democratic Party Central Committee, Assembly District 54.

I grew up in Pasadena and Santa Monica, CA, and attended Loyola High School before getting my B.S. at UC Berkeley in 2005, and J.D. at University of San Diego in 2010. Since passing the Bar, I have been handling health and safety receivership matters for California Receivership Group. CRG is appointed by courts throughout the state on problematic, dangerous properties, using the property's own value to pay for its rehabilitation.

In addition to practicing law, I have worked periodically on campaigns. I first worked with Green Corps on a variety of environmental campaigns throughout the western United States in 2005-06. In 2006 I was the Allegheny County Field Director for Gov. Ed Rendell's reelection campaign. In 2008, I spent the run-up to the election with the Obama campaign in Dayton, Ohio. In 2010, I ran the San Diego office for the Sierra Club's "No on Prop. 23" campaign. In 2012, I worked on Scott Peters' successful Red-to-Blue congressional campaign, and in 2014-15 on David Ryu's LA City Council race.

Filosofía política

My political beliefs begin with the principles of conservation and preservation. I think that protecting wild and untouched spaces, particularly those close to populated areas, is the most important thing we can do to benefit future generations and to enrich our own lives. I know climate change to be the #1 threat that we all face, and the preeminent challenge of our time.

I also believe that our society has an obligation to ensure that basic human needs are met, and that we are failing our most vulnerable citizens. As the richest country in the world, it is shameful that Americans continue to live in deep poverty and it is the pressing obligation for all of us to build a more just and equitable society.

I think that it is absolutely key that the Democratic Party stays true to what sets us apart - equality, fairness and environmental protection. I'm a Democrat because we are the party of ensuring a fair shot for everyone, and protecting the "little guy" from those that would abuse their status. We have to nominate and support candidates that share those values and that is what I have spent the last 10+ years doing, and intend to do on the Central Committee.
