Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Infrastructure - I've repaired over 100 miles of road and 11,000 potholes in my district, which is still not enough. I have a 5 year plan to pave over 1,000 miles of road which I plan on implementing in my next term.
  • Restoring Neighborhood Services - I've increased park and library hours to bring them closer to their previous levels. I want to ensure all San Diegans have the opportunities to use these facilities.
  • Education - I've worked with SDUSD to improve play area for students, created an arts education program with the SD Opera, and a special recognition program for honor roll and perfect attendance. In my next term I plan on expanding these programs.

Biografía

Scott Sherman isn't a San Diego native. He moved here with his military family when he was five months old and never looked back. Scott is running for re-election to City Council to finish what he started, bringing common sense and accountability to City Hall. Scott has built his life around our community. He went to high school right here at Patrick Henry. He attended Grossmont Community College. He started his small business here. Scott and his wife Norma own a home and raised their family here. Scott believes that good people with good ideas can continue to turn the tide and bring constructive change to City Hall.

Prior to taking office, Scott spent several decades building a small insurance business in San Diego instead of climbing the political ladder. Scott has deep roots providing peace of mind to families and businesses in our community. His hard work and perseverance over the years has helped him provide real jobs to more than two dozen hard working San Diegans. Scott is running for re-election to San Diego City Council to continue his mission of bringing business principles and accountability to City Hall.

Scott knows the value that sense of community can provide, and plays an active role in our city's charitable community, particularly focusing on those institutions that focus on children: the Make A Wish Foundation, the YMCA, the Burn Institute, and the Children's Convalescent Hospital. Scott is an active Rotarian in the Navajo community and supports the local San Carlos community garden attending to his own garden plot.

Scott is running for re-election to continue his mission of bringing accountability to City Hall. Scott works every day to make sure San Diego continues to add the resources it needs to fully fund our public safety, roads, parks, and libraries. Scott will continue to take a businessman's eye to the budget, reducing waste and finding efficiencies that save taxpayer money through effective leadership on the City’s Audit Committee and through effective programs such as managed competition.
